RESOLUTION NO. 614
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE, ABANDON
AND CLOSE A PORTION OFMC KINLEY STREET IN
THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, COUNTY OF SAN LUIS
OBISPO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, there now exists in the City of Arroyo Grande, County
of San Luis Obispo, State of California, a portion of McKirley Street
hereinafter more particularly described, which portion of said street
is what is generally known as a Itpaper street", not having been opened
to public use; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande elects
to proceed with the vacation, abandonment and closing of said street
pursuant to Section 8320 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the said portion of said McKinely Street
is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the abandonment and closing of said
portion of said street is for the best interests of the public,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Arroyo Gr~nde that it intends to abandon and close the hereinafter
described portion of McKinley Street in theCity of Arroyo Grande,
County of San Luis Obispo, State of California. For this purpose,
the City Council will hold a hearing in connection with said intention
to vacate, abandon and close the hereinafter described portion of
McKin~ey Street, which hearing will be held in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall, in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis
Obispo, State of California, on the 28th day of April, 1964, at the
hour of 8:00 P.M. At said time, those persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacatinn, abandonment and closing of said
streets may appear and be heard.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Arroyo
Grande be, and she is herewith directed to cause to be posted along
that portion of McKinley Street hereinafter described, a-e,'interyals:cnot
to-rexceed three hundred (300) feet in Jims.tance apart and at least three
(3) in number on said streets, notices of passage of Resolution, which
said notices shall be entitled ''Notice of intention to vacate, abandon
and close a portion of McKinley Street, in the City of Arroyo Grande,
County of San Luis Obispo, State of California".
In addition thereto, the City Clerk is herewith ordered and
directed to cause a copy of said Resolution to be published at least
once in the Herald-Recorder, a weekly newspaper published and circu-
lated in the City of Arroyo Grande, which publication shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date of said hearing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the portion of McKinley Street which
the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande proposes to vacate,
abandon and close is described as follows, to-wit:
That portion of McKinley Street in the City of Arroyo Grande,
County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, as shown on map
entitled Becketts Crown Hill Addition to the Town of Arroyo Grande,
California, and filed for record in the office of the County Recorder
of said County on June 19, 1905, in Book "A" of Maps, at page 57, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 1, Block 27, according
to said map, being a point in the northeasterly line of McKinley
Street; thence North 29000' West 100.00 feet along the northeasterly
line of said street to the northwesterly corner of said Lot 1- thence
, South 61000' West 50.00 feet to the northeasterly corner of Lot 47,
Block 28, according to said map, being a point in the southwesterly

line of MCKinley Street; thence South 29000' East 100.00 feet along
the southwesterly line of said street to the sGutheasterly corner
of said lot 47, being a point in the northwesterly line of Crown Street;
thence North 61000' East 50.00 feet along the northeasterly extension
of the northwesterly line of Crown Street to the point of beginning.
Furtner particulars as to the proposed. vacation are shown
on the map pertaining thereto on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande.

vote, to-wit:
