RESOLUTION NO. 591
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF
MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION FOR THE
CURRENT FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY I, 1963, AND
FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, AS
FOLLOWS:
l. The amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the tax-
able property within the City of Arroyo Grande, California, as revenue to carry

on the various departments is hereby fixed as the sum of $ 119,910.65 .
2. BE IT FURTrlliR RESOLVED that for the purposes of raising said sum of
money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within said
City as revenue to carryon the various departments of said City for the Fiscal
year beginning July I, 1963, the rate of taxes is hereby fixed and taxes are
hereby levied on all taxable property within the said City for the Fiscal year
beginning July I, 1963 at the rate of $ 1.33 upon each $100.00 of assessed
Valuation of the said property as assessed by the Assessor of the County of
San Luis Obispo, State of California, and equalized by the Board of Supervisors
of said County.
3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution is passed and adopted
pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the State of California entitled nAn
act to provide for the Levy and Collection of Taxes Under the laws of the State

of California, Except Municipal Corporations of the First Class, and to provide I
for the Consolidation and Abolition of Certain Municipal Offices, and to Provide
that their Duties may be performed by Certain Officers of the County, and Fixin9
the Compensation to be Allowed for such County Officers for Services to be
Rendered to such Municipal Corporations" (California Statutes 1895, page 219
and amendments thereto.)
4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall, within fifteen (15)
days after its passage, be published at least once, together with the names of
the Councilmen voting thereon, in the Arroyo Grande Herald-Recorder, a weekly
newspaper of general circulation published and circulated within the City of
Arroyo Grande, California.

ACCEPTING THE IMPOSITION OF ADDITIONAL HIGHWAY
USERS TAXES AND FEES PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 1852,
STATUTES OF 1963

resolves as follows:
'SECTION 1. To oomply with the prov'1.S10,l'le of
Section 10.2 of the Collier-Unruh Local Transportation
Development Act (Streets and Highways Code Section 186.1),
the City of AJ1lt1rO CIIItAIIII , hereby adoptG a Resolution
approving the1mposition of additional highway users taxes
and fees pursuant to said Act.
SECTION 2. The City desires apportionments to be
made to it in accordance with provisions of said Section of
the Act and 1s aware of the necessity ot conforming to the
matching requirements prescribed by Section 14 of said Act
(Streets and Highways Code Section 186.5). '
SECTION 3. All monies received by the City trom
the State under the provisions of Section 10.2 of said Act
shall be paid into the Special Gas Tax Street Improvement
Fund and expended exclusively for acquisition of rights-
of-way tor and construction of routes on the aelect system
of city streets established as provided in Section 12 of
said Act (Streets and Highways Code Section 186.3).
SECTION 4. In compliance with said Ac~ the I
City Clerk is directed to send a properly certified
copy of this Resolution to the Department of Publio
Works at Sacramento, California. !
