RESOLUTION NO. 588
Authorization for City Attorney to Request Continuance of Hearing
for Formation of South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District.
WHEREAS, the Cities of Grover City and Arroyo Grande together
with the Oceano Sanitary District and portions of the unincorporated
areas of the Arroyo Grande Valley have joined together in a united
effort for the formation of the South San Luis Obispo County San-
itation District, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the San Luis Obispo County
Board of Supervisors is presently set for the 15th day of July, 1963,
relative to such formation, and
WHEREAS, the governing bodies of said areas desire to reach a
written understanding of the major policies to be followed by the
South San Luis County Sanitation District prior to the time of its
formation, and it appearing that such written understanding will not
be completed prior to July 15, 1963, now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande that the City Attorney of the City of Arroyo Grande be
authorized and directed to appear before the Board of Supe~visors of
the County of San Luis Obispo to respectfully request that the said
hearing of July 15, 1963, be continued on such date for further hear-
ing on the 29th day of July, 1963, and to such further dates, if any,
as may be necessary to allow said governing bodies to complete the
written understandings.
On motion of Councilman Lee, and seconded by Councilman McNeil,
and on the following roll call vote, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen Lee, McNeil and Mayor Burt
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmen Wood and Jacobs
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 3rd day of July, 1963.
