RESOLUTION NO. 583
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ACKNOWLEDGING THE RECEIPT OF NOTICE
OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE A PETITION FOR TB$ ANNEX-
ATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "NORTH HIGHWAY
101" AND AN AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION THEREOF AND
APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF THE PETITION
WHEREAS, on May 14th , 1963, there was filed with the City
Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande a copy of a notice of intention to
circulate a petition relating to annexation of certain territory to
the City of Arroyo Grande, under the Annexation Act of 1913, pertaining
to territory designated as "North Highway 101", accompanied by a written
statement containing reasons for the petition together with an affidavit
of publication of said notice in the Herald-Recorder; and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the legislative
body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt of the notice and
approving the circulation of the petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande:
1- That the receipt of the notice, statement and affidavit is
hereby acknowledged, and that approval is hereby given for the circulation
of the petition for annexation of that territory designated as "North
Highway 101", twenty-one days after the publication of said notice and
statement.
2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
On motion of Councilman Jacobs , seconded by Councilman
Lee , and by the following roll call vote to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen Lee, Wood, McNeil, Jacobs and Mayor Burt
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was adopted on this 14th day of May , 1963.
