RESOLUTION NO. 580
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE PROVIDING FOR SPEED LIMITS, NO
PARKING, STOP SIGNS, AND CROSS WALKS ON CERTAIN
PORTIONS OF GRAND AVE~, BRISCO ROAD, NORTH ELM
STREET AND SOUTH ELM STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
AS FOLLOWS:
That hereafter the following listed speed zones, stop signs, and
cross walks shall become effective immediately and the Department of
Public Works is hereby authorized to provide and install sufficient
signs and/or markings to indicate the following speed signs, stop
signs and cross walks.
1- SPEED LIMITS:
A. 25 miles per hour on Grand Ave. from 300' East of the
center line of Brisco Rd. to 300' West of the center
line of Elm St.
B. 25 miles per hour on Brisco Rd. from Grand Ave. to
City Limits.
2. STOP SIGNS
A. On the southwest corner of Brighton Ave. and Brisco Rd.,
so as to stop all traffic on Brighton Ave. on entering
Brisco Road.
B. On the northeast corner of Linda Drive and Brisco Rd. so
as to stop all traffic on Linda Drive on entering Brisco Rd.
C. On the northwest corner of Brighton Ave. and Brisco Rd. so
as to stop all traffic on Brisco Rd. at the northside of
Brighton Ave.
3. SCHOOL CROSSINGS
A. On Grand Ave. on the eastside of Elm Street
4. NO PARKING
A. On the northside of Brisco Rd. between Grand Ave. and
Brighton Ave.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a recommendation be forwarded to the
Board of Supervisors of the County of San Luis Obispo requesting they

establish a 25 mile per hour zone on Brisco Rd. from the City Limits
of Arroyo Grande northeasterly to 101 frontage road, and that they
allow the City of Arroyo Grande to erect a warning blinker sign 200 -
250' east of the center line of Linda Drive on Brisco Rd.
On motion of Councilman Jacobs, seconded by Councilman Lee and
by the fOllowing roll call vote, to-wit:
AYES: Councilman Lee, Wood, McNeil, J.qobs and Mayor Burt
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 9th day of April, 1963.
