RESOLUTION NO. 551
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE ELIMINATING STOP SIGNS ON GRAND AVENUE WHERE IT
ENTERS HALCYON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, there are stop signs presently located on Grand
Avenue on each side of the entrance of said Avenue into Halcyon
Avenue, which stop signs stop traffic proceeding along said Grand
Avenue as it enters Halcyon Avenue; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande that said stop signs should be removed, and that
traffic passing along Grand Avenue should be unimpeded as it enters
the intersection of Grand and Halcyon Avenues.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the stop signs prese~y
erected on Grand Avenue at its intersection with Halcyon Avenue which
require traffic passing along Grand Avenue to come to a stop before
entering the intersection of Grand Avenue and Halcyon Avenue be and
the same are herewith ordered removed so as to permit traffic passing
along Grand Avenue to pass through the intersection of Halcyon Avenue
without coming to a stop at said intersection.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Police of the City of
Arroyo Grande be and he is herewith directed to cause said signed to
be removed forthwith.
On motion of Councilman Jacobs, seconded by Councilman McNeil
and on the following roll call vote, to-wit:
AYES: BURT, LEE, McNEIL, JACOBS
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: WOOD
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 18th day of September, 1962.
