A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE ACKNOWLEDGING THE RECEIPT OF
NOrICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATBD AS
"FAIR OAKS-ARROYO GRANDJ:I:" AND AN AFFIDAVIT OF
PUBLICATION THEREOF AND APPROVING THE CIRCULA-
TION OF THE PBTITION
WHEREAS, onDecember 22 , 1961, there was filed with the City
Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande a copy of a notice of intention
to circulate a petition relating to annexation of certain territory
to the City of Arroyo Grande, under the Annexation Act of 1913, per-
taining to territory designated as "FAIR OAKS-ARROYO GRANDE", accom-
panied by . written statement containing reasons for the petition
together with an affidavit of publication of said notice in the
Herald Recorder, and of posting said notices in three public places
within this area proposed to be annexed and in three public places
within the City of Arroyo Grande, and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the legisla-
tive body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt of the notice
and approving the circulation of the petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Arroyo Grandel
1. That the receipt of the notice, etatement and affidavit is
hereby ackno( edged, and that approval is hereby given for the cir-
culation of the petition for annexation of that territory designated
as "FAIR OAKS-ARROYO GRANDE" Itwenty-one days after the publication
of said notice and statement.
2. Tne City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolu-
tion.
