R 0501 t RESOLUTION NO. 501 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande, that it is proposed that a "Lagoon and Small Boat Harbor" be constructed in the area comprising the Pismo Beach State Park located adjacent to the Pacific Ocean and in the area adjoining Oceano and extending northerly towards Pismo Beach; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande believes that the establishment and construction of such a park would further the development of the State Park System and be in the best interests of the people of the State of California and of the people of the County of San Luis Obispo. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does herewith go on record as favoring the construction of a "Lagoon and Small Boat Harbor" in the Pismo Beach State Park adjacent to the shores of the Pacific Ocean and extending northerly towards the City of Pismo Beach, and to this end urges all possible positive action be taken to implement and carry out the construction and maintenance of such a "Lagoon and Small Boat Harbor". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this Resolution be sent to the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Luis Obispo, Honorable Vernon L. Sturgeon, State Senator, and the Honorable James L. Holmes, State Assemblyman. On motion of Councilman Lee, seconded by Councilman Hartwig, and on the following roll call vote, to-wit: AYES: Mayor Burt, Councilmen Lee, Pence, Hartwig, Jacobs NOES: None ABSENT : None the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 26th day of September, 1961.
