RESOLUTION NO. 497
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE SETTING
WATER RATES AND CHARGES TO BECOME EFFECTIVE ON JANUARY 1, 1962
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has the power
and authority to make changes from to time in the rates and charges to
be made for water service by the City of Arroyo Grande, which changes
aer required to be made by Resolution of the Council, and
WHEREAS, said City CounciT has determined that changes in the rates
and charges for such water service are necessary for the best interests
of the said City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that on and after January 1, 1962, the
rates and charges for water service by the City of Arroyo Grande, both
inside and outside the said City, shall be and they are hereby set at
the following amounts, to-wit:
A basic minimum monthly charge shall be made to INSIDE OUTS IDE
each user. This charge shall cover the cost for ARROYO ARROYO
water used each month up to 1000 Cubic feet _ GRANDE GRANDE
The basic minimum monthly charge shall be at
the amount of - - - - - - _ - _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ $2.50 $ 4.50
IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE CHARGES -
Each user wilT be charged for water used above
1000 cubic feet in accordance with the following
schedule (all rates below are on the basis of
100 cubic feet or fraction thereof)
From JOOO cubic feet to 3000 feet-rate per 100 $ .25 $ .27
From 3000 cubic feet to 6000 feet-rate per 100 $ .23 $ .25
From 6000 Cubic feet to 8000 feet-rate per 100 $ .21 $ .23
From 8000 cubic feet to 10000 feet-rate per TOO $ .20 $ .21
Allover 10000 cubic feet- rate per 100 $ .19 $ .20
On motion of Councilman Pence, seconded by Councilman Hartwig, and
on the folTowing roll call vote, to-wit:
AYES: BURT, HARTWIG, JACOBS, LEE and PENCE
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: NONE
