RESOLUTION I1.t, Jj~~
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARROYO GRANDE
WHEREAS, there is presently existing in the City of Arroyo
Grande a street which has no present name, which street is
located as hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, it appears that it is desirable that said street
be given a name; and
WHEREAS, it appears desirable to name the hereinafter street,
"SMITH ROAD" so that people will be better able to locate said
street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Arroyo Grande that it proposes to name the herein-
after described street "SMITH ROAD". Said street is described
as follows, to-wit: A roadway beginning on Traffic Way at a
point approximately 400' feet Southeasterly of East Cherry Avenue
and running thence generally Southeasterly and parallel with
Highway 101 approximately 750' feet.
For this purpose it will hold a public hearing. Said
public hearing will be held on the 13th day of June, 1961,
at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City
Hall of the City of Arroyo Grande, California, at which time
any persons interested therein may appear and be heard for or
against the naming of said street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of the intention to
name said street and of the hearing thereon shall be given by
posting a notice of said hearing in at least ~ public places
along said un-named street, said posting to be completed at
least ten days prior to the hearing.
On motion of Councilman Hartwiq, seconded by Councilman
Lee , and upon the following vote:
AYES: Mayor Burt, Councilmen Hartwig, Pence, Lee.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Jacobs
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 23rd day of May, 1961-
