RESOLUTION NO. 479 .
WHEREAS , at the present time, there is no person
authorized by the City of Arroyo Grande to negotiate for
or complete the purchase or other acquisition of surplus
material and/or equipment for Civil Defense on behalf of
the City, and
WHEREAS , it appears desire able to have some person
authorized and designated to act as agent for the City of
Arroyo Grande to negotiate for or complete the purchase or
other acquisition of surplus material and/or equipment for
Civil Defense for the City
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Arroyo Grande that J. E. Anderson, Jr. be and
he is herewith designated as the agent of the City of
Arroyo Grande for the purpose of negotiating for or com-
pleting the purchase or other acquisition of surplus
material and/or equipment for Civil Defense for the City
of Arroyo Grande.
On motion of Councilman Jacobs, seconded by
Councilman Pence, and on the following roll call vote,
to-wit:
AYES: Mayor Burt, Councilmen Pence, Jacobs and Hartwig.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Lee
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 14th day of
March, 1961-
