R 0470 RESOLUTION NO. .117C) . RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE STATING ITS INTENTION TO ABANDON 20TH STREET AND SETTING TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING WHEREAS, there presently is a street in the City of Arroyo Grande generally known and designated as 20th Street, which street is hereinafter more particularly described; and WHEREAS, said street is actuaTTy what is commonly known and designated as a "paper" street, having been shown on a subdivision map, but having never been opened up and used as a City street; and WHEREAS, the property on all sides of said "paper" street is now owned under a common ownershipl and WHEREAS, it is the plan and desire of the owners of the property surrounding said street to devote all of their property and also that within the boundaries of the street (they claim ownership of this property aTso) to a commercial enterprise, and they have as a consequence requested the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande to abandon said 20th Street; and WHEREAS, there appears to be no present or future probable use to be made by the City of Arroyo Grande of said Street as a public street, and th7refore it appears in the best interests of all con- cerned that said Street be abandoned by the City of Arroyo Grande. I NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE as follows: The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande intends to abandon 20th Street (which said street is hereinafter more particularly described) , a pub1ic street in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California. For the purpose of considering the City CouncfT's intention, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande wiTT hold a public hearing on the,?,ftdday of February,T961 at the ~ hour of 8.30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Council in the City Hall, Arroyo Grande, California, at which time and place anyone in- terested therein may appear and be heard concerning their views as to whether or not the City of Arroyo Grande should abandon said 20th Street. It is further ordered that the City Clerk shaTT cause a copy of this ResoTution to be pubTished in the Herald-Recorder, a news- paper printed and circuTated in the City of Arroyo Grande for the time required by Taw. Said City Clerk shall also cause a copy of this Resolution to be posted on the said 20th Street, as here~nafter described, at least three of said notices to be posted on said Street, but no notice to be at a greater distance than 300 feet from any other notice. The said 20th Street which the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande intends to abandon is more particularly described as that certain real property located in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, more particularly described as follows: That portion of 20th Street in the Town of Grover in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, according to the Map of said Town ffled fOr record November 23,1892 in the Office of the County Recorder of said County,described as follows: Beginning at the South East corner of Block 84 of said Town of Grover and proceeding thence aTong the Westerly Tine of said 20th Street N30 T6' E a distance of 652.48 feet to a point at the South Easterly corner of that property conveyed to James R.
