A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARR GRANDE
CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF ANNEXATION PROCEE
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE OF CERTAIN ITED AND
UNINCORPORATED. TERRITORY IN THE COUNTY OF SAN LUIS ISPO, STATE
OF CALIFORNIA, CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF ARROYO G DES IoHATED
AS "OCEANO ANNEX"
WHEREAS, on ~it ....1-, presented to the
City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande requesti the Council to
give its consent to the coromenaement of annexation
connection with that certain In_abited territory th referred to
and generally described, which is contiguous to the ity ot Arroyo
Grande; and
WHEREAS, said petition was reterred to the PIa iRg COlllllhs ion
of the City ot Arroyo Grande for investigation, rep t and rec~ndatlon;

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission rendered its and recom-
mendation to the board on the l.2:.- day of ""'ifI'''',fi,', 19S9, favoring the
commencement of annexation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Couftcll giye Its consent
to the cOlllllence.~nt of such annexation. proceedings on conditlen that
the electors within said territory be informed at th ti.e tbe petition
for annexation Is circulated that the question to be submitted to said'
electors shall be whether the territory shall be an xed and the prop-
erty in the territory subjected to taxation exatloR efl1aally
with the property within the City of Arroyo Grande.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Cou i1 of the City of
Arroyo Grande:
SECTION 1. That consent be and hereby Is grante tor the c~nc.--
ment of annexation proceedings in connection with sa d laba~ited terri-
tory in accordance with the Annexatien Act of 1913 p ,vlded the petition
for annexation contains a request that the que.tion o be submitted to
the electors residing in the territory proposed to b aanaxed shall be

whether the Territory shall be annexed and the pro erty In the

SECTION 2. That said unincorporated territory e and hereby Is
designated as the "OCEANO ANNEX" and Is generally unded as followsl
Westerly of Halcyon Road, Northerly of State No. I and River
Street and Arroyo Grande Ayenue; Easferly of !fIe Ocean; and
Southerly of the proposed Groyer City Incorporation Boundary lfne,
and of the Ctty limits of the City of Arroyo Grande aad of The Pike.

distance of 2168.18 feet to a point on the westerly line of the
Southern Pacific Railroad COIDpany's right of way, said ~esterly
