A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COuNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE CONSENTING TOTRE COMMENCEMENT OF
ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE OF CERTAIN INHABITED AND
UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY IN THE COUNTY OF SAN
WIS OBISPO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, CONTIGUOUS TO
THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DESIGNATED AS
"FAIR OAKS MAJOR"
WHEREAS, on September /~zi!:. , 1957, a petition was presented
to the City Co~nci1 of the City of Arroyo Grande req~esting the City
Co~ncil to give its consent to the commencement of annexation proceed_
ings in connection with that certain inhabited territory therein re-
ferred to and generally described, which is contig~o~s to the City of
Arroyo Grande; and
mffiREAS, said petition was referred to the Planning Commission of
the City of Arroyo Grande for investigation, report and recommenda_
tion; and
~~REAS, the Planning Commission rendered its report and re-
commendation to the Board on the /g-~y of xlrLlZ.... ~ 195~,
favoring the commencement of annexation proceedings; and
WlffiREAS, the Co~nty,Bo~ndary Commission of San L~is Obispo
Co~nty has heretofore approved :the proposed bo~ndary of said "FAIl!
OAKS MAJOR" as to definiteness and certainty; and
'I\'lJEREAS , it is the desire of the City Co~ncil to give its consent
to the commencement of s~ch annexation proceedings ~pon condition that
the electors within said territory be informed at the time the peti_
tion for annexation is circ~lated that the q~estion to be s~bmitted
to said electors shall be whether the territory shall be annexed and
the property in the territory s~bjected to taxation after annexation
eq~a1ly with the property within the City of Arroyo Grande.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Ci ty Co~nci'l of the Ci ty
of Arroyo Grande:
Section 1. That consent be and. hereby is granted for the commence_
ment of annexation proceedings in connection with said inhabited territory

in accordance with the Annexation Act of 1913 provided the petition
for annexation contains a request that the question to be submitted to
the electors residing in the territory proposed to be annexed shall be
whether the territory shall be annexed and the property in the terri-
tory subjected to taxation after annexation equally with property with-
in the City of Arroyo Grande.
Section 2. That said unincorporated territory be and hereby is
designated as "FAIR OAKS MAJOR" that it is bounded generally as
follows:
All that land contiguous to the City of Arroyo Grande, in the County of
San Luis Obispo, State of California, included within the exterior
boundary line described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Westerly boundary of the City of Arroyo
Grande at the intersection of the Westerly line of Pecan Street with the
Northerly line of Farroll Road, which said road is also known as Farrel
Road; thence West along the Northerly line of said Farroll Road to a
point on the Easterly line of Lot 23, Pismo Beach Gardens, according
to the map thereof recorded in Vol. 3 of Maps at page 45, records of
San Luis Obispo County; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said
Lot 23 to the Southeasterly corner thereof; thence westerly along the
Northerly line of said Farrol1 Road and the Southerly lines of Lots
23, 20, 17 and 14 of said Pismo Beach Gardens to the Southwesterly
corner of said Lot 14; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of said
Lot 14 to the Northeasterly corner thereof; thence Easterly along the
Northerly line of said Lot 14 to the Southeasterly corner of Lot 16
of Beckett's Grand Avenue Tract according to the map thereof recorded
in Book B of ~~ps at page 75, records of San Luis Obispo County; thence
Northerly along the Easterly line of said Lot 16 to the Northeasterly
corner'thereof; thence Westerly along the Northerly line of said Lot
16 to the Northwesterly corner thereof at a point on the Easterly
line of the Town of Grover according to the map thereof recorded in
Book A of ~~ps at page 6,~records of San Luis Obispo County; thence
Northerly along the Easterly line of said Town of Grover to the point
of intersection with the ~asterly line of Eighteenth Street; thence
Northerly along the Easterly line of Eighteenth Street to the point of
intersection with the Northerly line of Block 21 in the said Town of
Grover; thence Westerly along the Northerly line of said Block 21 to
the Southwesterly corner of Lot C of said Town of Grover; which said
corner is a point on the Easterly line .~rth Eighteenth Street;
thence Northerly and Northeasterly along' 'e Ea.sterly line of North
Eighteenth Street, and of the portion of North Eighteenth Street former-
ly known as Sierra Drive, and the Northerly prolongation thereof to
a point on the Southwesterly right of way line of California State
Highway; thence Southeasterly along said Southwesterly right of way
line to the point of intersection with the Southeasterly line of
Brisco Road; thence Southwesterly along said Southeasterly line of
Brisco Road a distance of 576.36 feet to a point; thence South 330 10'
East a distance of 328.73 feet to a point; thence South 560 50' West a
distance of 748.20 ft. to a point; thence North 330 10' West a distance
of 328.73 feet to a point on the Southeasterly line ~ Brisco Road;

all lots and blocks of subdivisions located therein, together with all
public roads, alleys and rights of way of record.
