RESOWTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLOSE A
PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN TIlE WALNUT GROVE ADDITION TO THE I

WHEREAS, there now exists in the City of Arroyo Grande,

Co~nty of San L~is Obispo, State of California a short portion
of an ~nnamed alley, 12 feet wide located in the Waln~t Grove
Addition to the City of Arroyo Grande, lying between Lots 1 and
2 and Lot 13 in Block 4 of said Addition and extending from Allen
Street 100 feet so~theasterly to the extension of the So~th line I
of said Lot 2; and I
WHEREAS, the said alley is no longer necessary for ~s by
the p~blic; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the abandonment and closing of said
portion of said alley is for the best interests of the p~blic.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Co~ncil of the
City of Arroyo Grande, that it intends to abandon and close that
short portion of an ~nnamed alley, 12 feet wide, located in the
Waln~t Grove Addition to the City of Arroyo Grande, lying between
Lots 1 and 2 and Lot 13 in Block 4 of said Addition, anq extending
from Allen Street 100 feet so~theasterly to the extension of
the So~th line of said Lot 2. Said Co~ncil will hold a hearing
in connection with said intention to abandon the aforesaid portion
of said alley, ,which said hearing will be held in the Co~ncil
Chambers of the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande, in the
City Hall, in the City of Arroyo Grande, Co~nty of San Luis Obispo,
State of California, at the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., on the 17th
day of September, 1957, at which time and place all persons inter-
ested in or objecting to the proposed closing of said portion of
said alley may appear and be heard.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of
Arroyo Grande shall ca~se a notice of this Resolution of intention
to order the abandonment and closing of the aforesaid portion of

said alley to be published in the Herald-Recorder, a weekly
nespaper published and circulated in the City of Arroyo Grande,
County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, at least once
prior to said hearing; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California,
be, and she is hereby ordered to provide for the posting of notices
of intention to close a portion of the aforesaid a1ley.to be
posted conspicuously along the line of the street, or part
-thereof, proposed to be closed which said notices shall be posted
not more than three Hundred (300) feet apart, provided that in
no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. Said notices
shall be in form as follows, to-wit:
"NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE, ABANDON ANIJ CLOSE A
PORTION OF AN ALlEY IN WALNUT GROVE ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, COUNTY OF SAN WIs OBISPO,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
Notice is herewith given that the City Council of the
City of Arroyo Grande, intends to close a short portion of a
certain unnamed alley 12 feet wide located in the Walnut Grove
Addition to the City of Arroyo Grande, and particularly describ-
ed as follows, to-wit:
That certain unnamed alley 12 feet wide
located in the Walnut Grove Addition to the
City of Arroyo Grande, lying between Lots 1
and 2 and Lot 13 in Block 4 of said Addition
and extending from Allen Street, 100 feet
southeasterly to the extension of the said
south line of said Lot 2.
A Resolution of intention so to do was passed by the City
Countil on the 3rd day of September, 1957.
A hearing, in connection with the proposed closing of that
portion of said alley hereinabove described will be held at the
City Hall, in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis
Obispo, State of California, on the 17th day of September, 1957,
at the hour of 8 o'clock P.K., at which time, those persons in-
terested in or objecting to the proposed closing may appear and
be heard."
On motion of Councilman Brennan, and seconded by Councilman
Pence, the foregoing Resolution is adopted on the following roll
call vote:
