RESOLUTION NO. 359
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A PLANS APPLICATION
UNDER CHAPTER 47, STAT. 1944 (4th E.S.)
1. WHEREAS, the State of California under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944, (4th
Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of Finance
to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as counties,
cities, or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-
L half of the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or architec-
. '
,tural designs, and working and detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter
called "Plans") required for postwar public works projects described as "specific
projects'l in' said Act; and
2. WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande (Lo~al Agency) hereinafter designated
as "Local Agency" desires to apply to the Director of Finance and/or the State
Allocation Bosrd, as the case may be, for an allotment of the State1s share of

the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans hereinafter mentioned and
there has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration
an application for such purpose; and
3. WHEREAS, Local Agency has provided, or will make available upon approval
of the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to pr~pare the completed
L plans herein mentioned;
4. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency submit the aforesaid

application to the Director of Finance and/or,the State Allocation Board, as the
case may be, requesting allotment of One Thousand seventy nine and 31/100
dollars ($1079.31) being not more than one-half the cost of preparing said com-
pleted plans, or for such amount as ,may be approved by the Director of Finance
and/or the State Allocation Board, (said allotment to be used for the purpose
of defraying the cost of preparing said completed plans required) for a specific
project to be undertaken by local agency and described as Western Addition-
South Alpine Drainage (Title of Project). ,
5. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated cost of preparing such plans is
Two thousand five hundred Dollars ($2500.00) and that Local Agency has made
l provision for paying one-haif or more of the cost of preparing such plans;
6. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this application J. E.
Anderson, Jr. (Name) Director of Public Works (Title) 214 E. Branch St.,
Arroyo Grande, Caiif. (Address) is hereby designated as the authorized agent of
Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above mentioned
application on behalf of the Local Agency and submit the same to the Director
and/or State A110cation Board, together with a certified statement of the

PARKING ARE#. ON U. S. HIGHWAY 101 IN THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE AND DmECTING THE APPROPRIATE MARKING THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Arroyo Grande that pursuant to the
provisions of Ordinance No. 86 of the City of Arroyo Grande, the space herein- .

area" and no parking by automobiles or motor vehicles shall be permitted within I.
