RESOLUTION NO. ~tj.9
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE,
COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, RELATIVE TO THE ANNEX-
ATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERR1TORY TO THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande,
County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, has received
requests from persons owning property lying within the terri-
torial limits of the hereinafter described parcel of property
for annexation of said property to the City of Arroyo Grande;
and
WHEREAS, it appears desirable to the said City Council
of the City of Arroyo Grande, to annex the hereinafter describ-
ed parcel of real property to the City of Arroyo Grande, said
property being contiguous to said City; and
WHEREAS, the said property is uninhabited property within
the meaning of Section 5162 of the General Laws of the State
of California; and
WHEREAS, the said City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
desires to proceed with the matter of annexation on its own
motion as provided in Section 5162 of the General Laws of the
State of California.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of
California, that the hereinafter described real property be
annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande, and that all necessary
steps be taken to consummate this annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the hereinafter described pro-
perty shall be designated as follows, to-wit:
Alder Street "A" Addition
said parcel of property being contiguous to the present City
Limits of the City of Arroyo Grande. ,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE~}that on the 21st day of August,

1956, at the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., at the Council Chambers
of the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande, in the City
Hall, in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo,
state of California, a hearing will be held, at which time
owners of property lying within the limits of the hereinafter
described parcel of property, and any others who may be in-
terested, may appear and show cause, if any they have, why
the hereinafter described parcel of real property, Alder Street
"A" Addition, should not be annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande,
County of San Luis Obispo, State of California. Protests may be
made in writing prior to the hearing or in writing or orally at
the time and place of hearing.
BE ~~ FURTHER RE~VED that a copy of this Resolution shall
be published at ~t once a week for two (2) successive weeks
before the heari on the matter of the annexation hereinabove

mentioned. Publicat~on of said Resolution shall be in the
Herald-Recorder, a weekl~ newspaper published and circulated
in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State
of California.

The property proposed to be annexed to the said City of
Arroyo Grande, and designated as Alder Street ,"A" Addition is<
described as follows, to-wit:
That portion of Lot 3 of the Folsom Tract, in the
County of San Luis Obispo, State of California,
according to the map thereof filed September 26, 1891,
in Book B, Page 75 of Maps, records of said County.
Beginning at the most Northwesterly corner of said
Lot 3; thence South 680 52' East along the North-
easterly line thereof 275 feet; thence South 210
08' West 314.7 feet to the Southwesterly line of said
lot; thence North 680 52' West along said Southwest-
erly line 275 feet to the Southwest corner of said
lot; thence North 210 08' East along the North-
westerly line of said Lot 314.7 feet to the point
of beginning.
