IN THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION.
WHEREA.S, a Gen~l M~Pal election was held in the City of Arroyo Grande

on Tuesday, April 10; 1956 as required by law.
AND WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was duly and le~ally ~iven,
that votinc precincts were properly established, that election officers were
appointed and election supplies furnished, and that in all respects said election
was held and conducted and the votes cast there at received and canvassed and the
returns thereof made and declared in time, form and manner as required by law of
sixth class cities.
AND WHEREAS, the Council of said City met at the Council Chambers thereat on "

Tuesday the 11th day of April, ~ to canvass the returns of said election, and

install the newly elected officers, and hav1n~ canvassed said returns, the council
finds that the number of votes cast, the n~mes of the persons voted for and other
matters required by law, to be as hereinafter stated, now therefore I

time, form and manner as required by law, that there was one votinc precinct
established for the purpose of holdin~ said election consistini of a consolidation
of the recular election precincts established for the holdine of General State and

RESOLVED THEREFORE, that at said General Municipal Election -
Geor2:e A. Burt was elected Councilman of the City of Arroyo Grande for
the full term of four years.
Harold E. Lee was elected CO)lIlcilman of the Ci~y of Arroyo Grande for
the full term of four years.
Robert V. Jacobs was elected Councilman of the City of Arroyo Grande for
the full term of four years.
Edna M. Schillini was elected City Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande for
the full term of four years.
J. G. Wilson was elected City Treasurer of the City of Arroyo Grande
for the full term of four years.
The City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to each of such persons
elected, a certificate of election, siened by him and duly authenticated; he
shall also impose the constitutional oath of office and have them subscribe
thereto, whereupon they shall be inducted into the respective offices to which ,
they have been elected.
On motion of Councilman Brennan and seconded by Councilman Pence
and on the followini roll call vote to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen Burt, Brennan, Pence and Lee
NOES: None
ABSENT : Councilman Dixson
the foreioini resolution was duly and recularly passed by the City Council of
Arroyo Grande, California.
