R 3601 RESOLUTION NO. 3601 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ADOPTING SALARY AND BENEFIT ADJUSTMENTS FOR MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002-03 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande ("City") deems it in the best interest of the City that compensation and benefits for Management employees be adjusted as hereinafter provided. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande that: 1. All management classifications shall receive a salary Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) of 3.5% to be effective for the pay period beginning July 1, 2002. 2. Salary ranges for management classifications shall be adjusted as designated in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. 3. Effective January 1, 2003, the following management classifications shall receive a contribution of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per month to the employee's International City Management Association (ICMA) deferred compensation plan: Administrative SeNices Director Economic Development Director Parks, Recreation & Facilities Director Financial SeNices Director Building & Fire Director Public Works Director Community Development Director Police Chief 3. Effective January 1, 2003, the following management classifications shall receive a contribution of fifty dollars ($50.00) per month to the employee's International City Management Association (ICMA) deferred compensation plan: Office Assistant J Office Assistant II Administrative Secretary Executive Secretary Assistant Planner Associate Planner Executive Assistant to the City Manager RESOLUTION NO. 3601 PAGE 2 Chief Building Inspector Human Resources Manager Assistant City Engineer Police Commander 4. Severance pay provisions for Department Directors shall be adjusted in their Agreements to provide an option of either three months of salary and benefits or equivalent cash if the "at will" employee is terminated without good cause. On motion of Council Member Runels, seconded by Council Member Lubin, and on the following roll-call vote, to wit: AYES: Runels, Lubin, Dickens, Ferrara, Lady NOES: None ABSENT: None the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 25th day of June, 2002.
