R 1559 133 RESOLUTI ON NO. 1559 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT REGARDING A CITY MEASURE RELATING TO THE ELECTION OF THE OFFICE OF MAYOR WHEREAS, a special municipal election is to be held In the City of Arroyo Grande, California, on November 2, 1982, at which there will be submitted to the quali11ed electors of said City the following measure: Shall the electors elect a mayor I ~:s I and four city council members? Shall the term of office of mayor I Yes I be two years? No Shall the term of office of mayor I ~~s I be four years? NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTI ON I: That this City Council, being the legislative body of the City of Arroyo Grande, hereby authorizes: Lawrence E. Vandeveer Karl A. Hogan members of said body, to file a written argument against the City measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5 of the Elections Code of the State of California,and to change said argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said City measure may be submitted to the City Clerk.
