RESOLUTION #1i:J..
Whereas, the month of July 1954 has been designated as "Regognition
Month" for those public spirited citizens who have given freely of their time
and efforts in promoting the sale of United States War Bonds and now, United
States Savings Bonds; and, !
WHEREA.S, the Mayor, and Councilmen representing the City of krroyo Grande, I
desire to join in this recognition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of the City of Arroyo
Grande
1. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to Mr. George E. Grieb, krea
Deputy Director of Saving Bonds Division, U. S. Treasury Department, I
at his office 1031 South Broadway, Los ~geles 15, California.
2. That a copy of this Resolution be presented to Mr. Edwin K. Taylor
who currently serves as chairman of our co_unity Savings Bonds Committee.
Passed and adopted, this 20th day of July 1954, at the regular meeting of
the city council of the City of "rroyo Grande, by the following vote, to...wit:
AYES: Councilmen Burt., Kerr, Pence, Simpson and Brennan
