BE IT RESOLVED THAT THOSE PERSONS DESIRING WATER SERVICE ON
THE WEST SIDE OF PECAN STREET AND THE SOUTH SIDE OF FARREL
ROAD SHALL BE PERNII'TED TO HOOK ON TO THE WATER LINE AD,TACENT
'1'0 THEIR PROPERTY UPON PAYMENT BY THEM OF ONE DOLLAR ($1.00)
PER FRONT FOOT.
On motion of Councilman Simpson, and seconded by Councilman Brennan and
by the following roll call vote, to-wit: -
AYES: Councilmen Burt, Kerr, Pence, Simpson and Brennan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
THe foregoing resolution was adopted.
RFBOLUTION NO. 307-A
WHERt;AS, the City of Arroyo Grande has heretofore conveyed to the Womens'
Club of Arroyo Grande certain real property which said property was to be used
by said Womens' Club of Arroyo Grande for limited purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State of California by its Division of Highways has sought
to acquire certain portions of said property for use by it in the construction
of a highway; and -
WHEREAS, it has offered to pay to said Womens' Club certain sums of money
for said property; and
wHEREAS, it has requested the City of Arroyo Grande to execute a Quitclaim
Deed, in and to that portion of property deeded by said City to said Womens'
Club as is sought by said Division of Highways; and
WHEREAS, the execution of said Quitclaim Deed is a necessary part and
portion of the transaction between said Womens' Club and the State of California;
and
WHEREAS, the Womens' <':lub of Arroyo Grande by its president, Mrs. Carl
Carlson, Jr., has under date of April 16, 1954, confirmed in writing that said
organization will retain all funds by it from the sale of property previously
acquired from the City to be placed in a special fund marked for Club House
Building purposes. !
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 11 RESOLVED by the City Council as follows:
That the City of Arroyo Grande does herewith agree to execute a Quitclaim
Deed to that portion of the property being acquired by the State of California
from the Womens' Club of Arroyo Grande and the Mayor of the City of Arroyo Grande
