R 0287-A . RESOLUTION NO. 287-1. A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLOSE A PORTION OF VALLEY ROAD, IN THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA. W'rlEREAS, that portion of Valley Road which is hereinafter described is not required for street purposes; and wlf&REAS, it also appears that it will be an advantage to the City of Arroyo Grande to close, vacate and abandon said portion of Valley Road here- inafter described. WHEREAS, the said portion of Valley Road is particularly described as follows, to-wit: All of that certain real property situate, lying and being in the City of Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo County, California, and also being a portion of Valley Road as said road is delineated and designated on a map titled JONES TRACT SUBDIVISION filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Luis Obispo County, California, and being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point of curve on the southerly right-of-way line of said Valley Road, said point being located N 570 05' 45" E a distande of 41.42 feet from the Northwest corner of Lot 19 of the said Jones Tract Subdivision and proceeding thence easterly along the arc of a cur\re to the right with a central angle of 890 47' 15" and a radius of 108.98 feet through an arc distance of 170.79 feet, said arc distance being recorded on the map of the Jones Tract Subdivision as 174.30 feet, to a point of curve on the westerly right-of-way line of Bridge Street; thence leaving and on a Northerly prolongation of said right-of-way line N 330 07' W a distanoe of 108.58 feet to a 2" iron pipe with cap located on the easterly pro- longation of the southerly right-of-way line of Valley Road; thence along said easterly prolongation S 57+ 05' 45" W a distance of 108.58 feet to the point of beginning. Less that portion acquired by the State of California for additional Highway right-of-way. NOW THEREFORE, IT I~ HEREBY RESOLVED that it is the intention of the City Council, of the City of Arroyo Grande, to vacate, abandon and close up that portion of Valley Road a\roved described. IT IS FmiTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that a hearing shall be held in connection with said intention on the part of said City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande, to vacate, abandon and close that portion of Valley Road hereinabove described which said hearing shall be held on the 18th day of March, 1953, at the City Hall, in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., at which time, all persons interested in the proposed vacation, abandonment and closing of that portion of Valley Road above described may appear and be heard thereon. BE IT FURT'HER RESOLVED AND ORDERED, that the City Clerk of the City of, Arroyo Grande shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of - said portion of said Valley Road proposed to be vacated, abandoned and closed, at a distance of not more than three hundred (300) feet apart and not less than three (3) notices in all, the following notice, to-wit: "NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLO:JE A PORTION OF VALLEY ROAD, IN THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, Notice is herewith given that the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande intends to vacate, abandon and close that portion of Valley Road located in said City and particularly described as follows, tm-wit: All of that certain real property situate, lying and being in the City of Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo County, California, and also being a portion of Valley Road as said road is delineated and designated on a map titled JONES TRACT SUBDIVISION filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Luis Obispo County, California and being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point of curve on the southerly right-of-way line of said Valley Road, said point being located N 570 05' 45" E a distance of 41.42 feet from the Northwest corner of Lot 19 of the said Jones Tract Subdivision and proceeding thence easterly along the arc of a curve to the right with a central angle of 890 47' 15" and a radius of 108.98 feet through an arc distance of 170.79 feet, said arc distance being recorded on the map of the Jones Tract Subdivision as 174.30 feet, to a point of curve on the westerly right-of-way line of Bridge Street; thence leaving and on a Northerly prolmngation of said right-of-way line N 330 07' W a distance of 108.58 feet to a 2" iron pipe with cap located on the easterly prolongation of the southerly right- of-way line of Valley Road; thence along said easterly pro- longation S 570 05' 45" W a distance of 108.58 feet to the point of beginning. Less that portion acquired by the State of California for additional Highway right-of-way. The hearing in connection with said intention will be held on the /gt'l.-d&y Of~~ , 1953, at the City Hall, in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, at the hour of f o'clock P.M., at which time, all persons interested in the proposed vacation, abandonment and closing of that portion of Valley Road may appear and be heard. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the City Clerk cause said notice to likewise be published at least twice in the Herald-Recorder, a newspaper published and circulated in the City of Arroyo Grande.
