RE30LUTION APPROQING BOND OF PACIFIC GAS AND
ELECTRIC COMPANY ESECUTBD IN CONSIDERATION OF THE ~ ~~~
GR1NT BY THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE , OF THE FRAN-
CHISE TO USE THE STREETS OF SAID FOR THE
TRANSMISSION APID DISTRIBUTION OF EL TRICITY FOR ALL
PURPOSES OTHER THAN THOSE AUTHORIZED UNDER SECTION
19i0F ARTICLE %I OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE~STATE OF
CALIFORNIA AS SAID SECTION ESISTED PRIOR TO'ITS
AMENDMENT ON OCTOBER 10, 1911.
oa the f day '7/" RR' 19 ~9, the
City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande passed its ordinance
granting to Pacifio Gas and Electric Company a Califor-
nia corporation, the franchise to use the public streets, ways
and places of said pity for the transmission and distribution
of electricity for sIl purposes other than those authorized
under Section 19 of Article XI of the Constitution of the State
of California as said section eaisted prior to its amendment on
October 10 1911, upon the terms and conditions as net forth in
said ordinance; and
1'~HEREAS said Paoific Gas and Electric Company
pursuant to the Franchise Act of 1837 has duly executed and
filed with this Counoil a bond in the penal sum of one thousand
dollars ( ~1, 000.00} , bearing date the ~ f ~ day of ~'•'~
l9 39, and conditioned as prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS upon due investigation and consideration, it
appears to the satisfaction of this council that said bond is
in proper form and that said bond has been duly executed by
said PaoiPic Gas and Electric Company sad by two good
and sufficient sureties;
PLOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Arroyo Grande that said bond be, and it is
hereby, accepted and approved.
