9 WHEREAS, on the (p&day of January, 1937, a petition
'-' 10 was filed with this City Council requesting the abandonment of
11 that certain street in the City of Arroyo Grande, described
12 as follows:
13 That certain street lying in Block 38 of Beckett's
Addition to the City of Arroyo Grande; Bounded on the
14 North by Lots 14 and 25 of said Block 38, on the East
by Pacific Coast Company Right of Way, on the South
15 by Lots 13 and 26 of said Block 38 and on.the West by
Tallyho Avenue.
16 1~EREAS, on the 6th day of January, 1937, this City Council
17 adopted a resolution of intention to close up and abandon all
18 of that certain street in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of
19 San Luis Obispo, State of California. above described.
20 VffiEREAS, the affidavit of the City Street Superintendent is

on file. reciting that he posted not less than three notices of
22 the passage of said resolution of intention to close up and abando
23 said street, on the 7~day of January. 1937, containing the
24 date of passage, the fact of passage and referring to the reso1u-
25 tion for further pI;I.rticu1ars, a10:ng the,~;!,!}e of said contemplated
26 abandonment, and that he had caused to be pUblished in the Arroyo
27 Grande Herald Recorder, a weekly newspaper published in the City
28 of Arroyo Grande, a notice similar in substance to the posted
29 notice, for four successive weekly insertions.

WHEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED, this City Council finds and

determines that equity requires a conveyance of said street to
8
the abutting OVffiers thereof.

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that said street hereinabove

described be, and the same is hereby. abandoned. and the Mayor
11
hereof is authorized and directed to execute. acknowledge and
12
deliver deeds covering said abandoned street to the abutting
13
owners thereof.
