RESOLUTION NO. 3255

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE DETERMINING CERTAIN AMOUNTS ACTUAllY AND
NECESSARilY EXPENDED BY COUNCil MEMBERS IN THE CONDUCT
OF CITY BUSINESS AND ORDERING REIMBURSEMENT THEREFOR
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 36514.5 provides for the
reimbursement of City Council Members for actual and necessary expenses
incurred in the performance of official duties; and,
WHEREAS, Sections 37201 through 37205 of said Code require . certain
protections to assure the proper payment of public funds; and,
WHEREAS, certain expenses are actually and necessarily incurred regularly by
Council Members in the course of City business in the form of transportation for
attending and participation in various meetings and activities, business-related
meals, telephone expenses, and miscellaneous supplies and equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE DOES RESOLVE AS FOllOWS:
Section 1. The City Council, after careful review of its obligations and
commitments, hereby determines and finds that certain actual and necessary
expenses are regularly incurred by each of its Members in the form of
transportation for attending and participation in various meetings and activities,
business-related meals, telephone expenses, and miscellaneous supplies and
equipment.
Section 2. Based upon Section 1 herein, the City Council determines and
declares the monthly expenses by each member thereof to be $75.
Section 3. The Director of Financial Services is directed and authorized to pay to
each City Council Member the sum of $75 for each calendar month such
Member holds office.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall
cause this Resolution and his/her certification to be filed in the Office of the City
Clerk.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective on and after January 1, 1998.
