O 065 C.S. " l . ORDINANCE NO. 65 C.S. AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "HUASNA ROAD NO.3" TO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has initiated annexation proceedings for the hereinafter described territory designated "Huasna Road No. 3 Annexation" pursuant to provisions of Government Code Section 35310 et seq. and WHEREAS, the proposed annexation including the legal description of the territory to be annexed has been approved by the San Luis Obispo County Local Agency Formation Commission on September 16, 1971 by Resolution No. 71-17, and WHEREAS, on the 9th day of November, 1971, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande did pass and adopt Resolution No. 951 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Arroyo Grande", said territory being therein designated as "Huasna Road No. 3"", and said resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed, and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 951 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the City Council of the City of Arroyo Granliewou1d hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said resolution, and '>. ~ WHEREAS, on the 28th day of December, 1971, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 951 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to he annexed as determined by said legislative body, and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Arroyo Grande, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Luis Obispo, NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Arroyo Grande, and does further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Arroyo Grande is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall be published once, together with the names of the Couaailmen voting thereon, in the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder. EXHIBIT "A" All that land contiguous to the City of Arroyo Grande, in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California included within the following described ex- terior boundaries: Commencing at a point marked "F" set at the most southerly corner of Lot 2 of A. Newsom's Lands in the Ranchos Santa Manuela and Bo1sa de Chemisa1, as per map thereof recorded June 5, 1891 in Book A Page 77 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County, and also being a point on the City limits of the City of Arroyo Grande as established by the Tabb Ranch Annexation approved by the Secretary of State on the 18th day of April, 1963; running thence along the boundaries of said Tabb Ranch Annexation North 250 00' East, 660.00 feet to a point designated "G" and S. E. 9 on said map; thence North 430 15' West along the southwesterly line of Lot A of said Newsom's Land, 504.90 feet to a point; thence North 430 45' East, 330.00 feet to the south- westerly line of Lot B of said Newsom's Land; thence along said southwesterly line of Lot B, South 430 15' East 26.40 feet; thence North 430 45' East, 330.00 feet to a point on the northeasterly line of said Lot B; thence leaving the said boundaries of the said Tabb Ranch Annexation North 430 15' West along the said northeasterly line of said Lot B and the northwesterly continuation thereof to a point on the northwesterly line of County Road No. 2019 formerly County Road No. 97, known as Steele StatiQn-Ranchita Road and a point on the city limits line of the City of Arroyo Grande as established by the Upper Arroyo No. .1 Annexation approved by the Secretary of State on the 1st day of February , 1960; thence Southwesterly and Westerly along the said city limits of the City of Arroyo Grande to a point which lies North 90 West from the most easterly corner of Lot 15 of Steele's resubdivision of the Ranchos Corral de Piedra, Bo1sa de Chemisa1 according to the map thereof recorded in Book A of Maps at Page 63; thence South 90 East across the said Steele Station-Ranchita Road to said most easterly corner of said Lot 15 being a point on the City Limits of the City of Arroyo Grande as established by incorporation July 10th, 1911, and being also the most northerly corner of Lot 8 of said A. Newsom's Lands; thence continuing along said city limits line southeasterly along the northeasterly lines of said Lot 8 and Lots 7 and 5 of said A. Newsom's Lands to a point which bears South 250 00' West from aforesaid point "!!,"; thence North 250 00' East to said point "F" and the point of beginning, and includ- ing all lots and blocks of subdivision located therein, together with all public roads, alleys and rights of way of record.
