ORDINANCE NO. 51 C.S.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING CHAPTER
5 OF TITLE 8 OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO THE UNIFORM PWMBING CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l.
Section 1 of Chapter 5 of Title 8 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 8-5.0l. Adoption of Uniform Plumbing Code.
For the purposes of governing and controlling the installation, alteration,
repair, and inspection of, and the issuance of permits for, all plumbing and drainage
systems in the City, that certain Code designated as the "Uniform Plumbing Code",
1970 Edition, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical
Officials, ~ee (3) copies of which have been filed for use and examination by the
public in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby adopted by reference and made a
part of this chapter as though set forth in this chapter in full, subject, however,
to the amendments, additions, and deletions set forth in this chapter, and said
Code shall be known as the Plumbing Code for the City.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after
its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall be published
once, together with the names of the Council Members voting thereon, in the Five
Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
On motion of Councilman Talley,. seconded by Councilman Schlegel and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Schlegel, Thompson, Tall~y.and Mayor Levine
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Wood
the foregoing ordinance was passed and adopted this 27th day of April, 1971.
