ORDINANCE NO. 48 C. S.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING CHAPTER
10 OF TITLE 8 OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE RElATING
TO THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Section 1 of Chapter 10 of Title 8 of the Arroyo Grande MUnicipal Code
is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 8-10.01. Adoption of Uniform Mechanical Code.
For the purposes of governing and controlling the installation, alteration,
repair, and inspection of, and the issuance of permits for, all mechanical systems
in the City, that certain Code designated as the "Uniform Mechanical Code", 1970
Edition, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Offi-
cials, three (3) copies of which have been filed for use and examination by the
public in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby adopted by reference and made
a part of this chapter as though set forth in this chapter in full, subject, how-
ever, to the amendments, additions, and deletions set forth in this chapter, and
said Code shall be known as the Mechanical Code for the City.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after
its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall be published
once, together with the nameS of the Council Members voting thereon, in the Five
Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
On motion of Councilwoman Thompson, seconded by Councilman Talley
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Schlegel, Thompson, Talley and Mayor Levine
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Wood
the foregoing ordinance was passed and adopted this 27th day of April, 1971.
