ORDINANCE NO. 47 C.S.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE 3 OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO BUSINESS LICENSING WITHIN THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 407, Chapte~ 1, Title 3 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal
Code is amended to read as follows:
Section 3-1.407 AUCTIONS. The license tax for every auction conducted
on a regular basis in conjuction with a regularly licensed and established
business shall be Fifty and no/lOO Dollars ($50.00) per year, which shall
be in addition to the license tax otherwise imposed for said business. The
license tax for every auction not conducted on a regular basis in conjunc-
tion with a regularly licensed and established business shall be Ten and
no/lOO Dollars ($10.00) per day; provided, however, no license shall be re-
quired fot the selling of goods at public sale belonging to the United States
or to the State, Or for the sale of property by virtue of any process issued
by any State or Federal Court, or for the bona fide sale of household goods
at the domicile of the owner thereof, Or for the sale of any property of an
estate by the legally appointed administrator, executor, or guardian thereof.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days
after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall be pub-
lished once, ,together with the names of the Council Members voting thereon, in the
Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
On motion of Councilman Talley, seconded by Councilman Wood and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Schlegel, Thompson, Wood, Talley and Mayor Levine
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing ordinance was passed and adopted this 13th day of April, 1971.,
