ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
CHAPTER 4 OF TITLE 8 OF THE ARROYO GRANDE
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE HOUSING CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECT! ON I.
Chapter 4 of Title 8 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code relating
to the Housing Code is amended to read as follows:
SEC. 8-4.01 ADOPTION OF UNIFORM HOUSING CODE.
For the purposes of providing minimum requirements for the protection
of I i fe, limb, health, property, safety, and welfare of the general public
and the owners and occupants of residential buildings, that certain code
designated as the "Uniform Building Code", Volume 3, Housing, 1967 Edition,
published by the International Conference of Building Officials, three (3)
copies of which have been filed for use and examination by the public in
the office of the City Clerk, is hereby adopted by reference and made a part
of this chapter as though set forth in this chapter in full, supject, however,
to the amendments, additions, and deletions set forth in this chapter, and
said code shal1 be known as the Housing Code for the City.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days
after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall
be published once, together with the names of the Councilmen voting thereon,
in the Arroyo Grande Herald-Recorder.
On mot i on of Councilman Levine , seconded by Councilwoman
Thompson , and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine, Schlegel,
Burt and Mayor Wood
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted this 26th day of September , 19R- .
