ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING THE
ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING CHAPTER 9 TO
TITLE 8 OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECT! ON I.
The Arroyo Grande Municipal Code is amended by adding Chapter 9
to Title 8 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code relating to the Uniform
Mechanical Code to read as follows:
SEC. 8-9.01. ADOPTION OF UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE.
For the purposes of providing minimum requirements for the protection
of I ife, I imb, health, property, safety, and welfare of the general publ ic
and the owners and occupants of residential buildings, that certain code
designated as the "Uniform Mechanical Code," being Volume 2 of the "Uniform
Building Code," 1967 Edition, published by the International AssoCiation of
Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and the International Conference of Building
Officials, three (3) copies of which have been filed for use and examination
by the publ ic in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby adopted by reference
and made a part of this Uniform Mechanical Code for the City.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days
after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall be
published once, together with the names of the Councilmen voting thereon, in
the Arroyo Grande Herald-Recorder.
On motion of Councilwoman ThomPBCI:1, seconded by Councilman
Levine , and on the following roll call vote, to wi t:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine, Schlegel,
Burt and Mayor Wood
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
