ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
SECTION I OF CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE 8 OF THE ARROYO
GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE UNIFORM
BU I LD I NG CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Section 1 of Chapter I of Title 8 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code
relating to the Building Code is amended to read as follows:
SEC. 8-1.01, ADOPTION OF UNIFORM BUILDING CODE.
For the purposes of regulating the erection, construction, enlarge-
ment, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy,
equipment, use, height, area, and maintenance of buildings and structures in
the City, the issuance of permits, and collection of fees therefore, and de-
claring and establishing fire districts, that certain Code designated as the
"Uniform Bui Iding Code," 1967 Edition, publ ished by the International
Conference of Building Officials, three (3) copies of which have been filed
for use and examination by the publ ic in the office of the City Clerk, is
hereby adopted by reference and made a part of this chapter as though set
forth in this chapter in full, subject, however, to the amendments, additions,
and deletions set forth in this chapter, and said code shall be known as the
Uniform Building Code for the City,
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days
after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall
be publ ished once, together "lith the names of the Councilmen voting thereon,
in the Arroyo Grande Herald-Recorder,
On mot ion of Councilman Burt , seconded by Council-
man Schlegel , and on the following roll call vote, to .wit:
AYES: Councilwoman Thompson, Councilmen Levine,
Schlegel, Burt and Mayor Wood
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Ordinance was adopted this 26th day of September ,1967. .
