O 012 C.S. . .....- . --- ORDINANCE NO. 12 C.S. ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING CHAPTER 3, TITLE 3, OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNI- CIPAL CODE RELATING TO SALES AND USE TAXES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 3, Title 3, of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code adopting sales and use taxes is amended by amending sub-section (c) of Section.202 to read as follows: (c) To adopt a sales and use tax law which imposes a one percent tax (1%) and provides a measure therefor that can be administered and collected by the State Board of Equalization in a manner that adapts itself as fully as practical to, and requires the least possible devia- tion from, the existing statutory and administrative procedures followed by the State Board of Equalization in administering and collecting the California State Sales and Use Taxes. SECTION 2. Chapter 3, Title 3, of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code adopting sales and use taxes is amended by amending sub-section (a) (1) of Section .204 to read as follows: (a) (1) For the privilege of selling tangible personal property at retail, a tax is hereby imposed upon all retailers in the City at the rate of one percent (1%) of the gross receipts of the retailer from the sale of all tangible personal property sold at retail in the City on and after the operative date of this article. SECTION 3. Chapter 3, Title 3, of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code adopting sales and use taxes is amended by amending sub-section (a) of Section .205 to read as follows: (a) An excise tax is hereby imposed on the storage, use, or other consumption in the City of tangible personal property purchased from any retailer on or after the operative date of this article for storage, use, or other consumption in the City at the rate of one per- cent (1%) of the sales price of the property. The sales price shall include delivery charges when such charges are subject to State sales or use tax regard- less of the place to which delivery is made. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect commencing October 1, 1967, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall be published once, together with the names of the Council- men voting thereon, in the Arroyo Grande Herald-Recorder.
