ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE i
AMENDING SECTION .10, CHAPTER 4, TITLE
6 OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO GARBAGE AND REFUSE DISPOSAL
COLLECTION RATES
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ORDAINS AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Chapter 4, Title 6 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code
relating to Garbage and Refuse Disposal C011ection rates is amended
by amending Section 10 to read as follows:
RESIDENTIAL SERVICE
One time a week service - Standard container - 32 gallons
or less 80 pound weight limit:
A. 1 container $2.00 per month
B. 2 containers $3.25 per month
C. 3 containers $4.50 per month
Special "combination" service - one time a week $3.00
At front property line every week, on pickup day, garbage
". container, plus trash and rubbish up' to one "cubic yard,
boxed or bundled so one man can load it into the truck.
This service must. be t;aken for a minimum of six (6) months.
COMMERCIAL SERVICE
Standard contatner - 32 gallons or less - 80 pound weight

A. 1 container $2.50 per month 1 container $ 5.00 per month
B. 2 containers $3.75 per month 2 containers $ 7.50 per lOOnth

COMMERCIAL CONTAINERS - furnished by Contract Agent:
ONE CUBIC YARD CONTAINER
A. One time a week service $12.00 per month
B. Two times a week service $15.00 per month
C. Three times a week service $18.00 per month
TWO CUBIC YARD CONTAINER
A. One time a week service $15.00 per month,
B. Two teimes a week service $25.00 per month
THREE CUBIC YARD CONTAINER
A. One time a week service $18.00 per month
B. Two times a week service $31,00 per month
C. Three times a week service $44.00 per month
FIFTY GALLON DRUMS
Fifty (50) gallon druMs are serviced only when used
exclusively as incinerators or ":burn barrels" at the rate of
$1. 50 minimum each time serviced.
Items not covered shall be negotiated as an extra service.
Where a license for the collection and disposal of refuse,
garbage, wet garbage. and rubbish has been granted as provided for
in Section 6-4.05 of this chapter, t.he Council may in such license
provide for the maximum charges to be made by the licensee.

Licensees shall collect and dispose of the refuse,
garbage, wet garbage, and rubbish in the City in the manner
provided in this chapter and shall not charge any rates in
excess of the rates specified in this section.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty
(30) days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its
passage it shall be published once, together with the names of the
Councilmernbers voting thereon, in the Arroyo Grande Herald-Recorder.
On motion of Councilwoman Thompson, seconded by Council-
man Schlegel, and on the following roll call vote, to wit:

the foregoing Ordinance was adopted this 28th day of March, 1967.
