ORDINANCE NO. /~.f.,
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE OF CERTAIN IN-
HABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "FAIR OAKS-ARROYO GRANDE
ANNEXATION" ON THE 22nd DAY OF MAY, 1962.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation Act of
1913, and pursuant to Resolution No. 523 adopted by,the City Council
of the City of Arroyo Grnade on the 27th day of March, 1962, a
special election was held on the 22nd day of May, 1962, in the City
of Arroyo Grande, and in inhabited territory contiguous to the City
of Arroyo Grande des i gnated as "FAIR OAKS-ARROYO GRANDE ANNEXATION,"
and which is hereinafter more particularly described; and
WHEREAS, at said special election the following question was
submitted to the qualified electors residing In the City of Arroyo
Grande and in said territory:
"SHALL 'FAIR OAKS-ARROYO GRANDE ANNEXATION, I BE ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, AND THE PROPERTY IN SUCH
TERRITORY BE, AFTER SUCH ANNEXATION, SUBJECT TO TAXATION
EQUALLY WITH THE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE?"
and
WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of the
votes cast at the special election that a majority of all votes cast
in said territory and in the City of Arroyo Grande on the question
of Annexation favors annexation; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the special election and all proceed-
ings relating thereto have been conducted strictly in accordance with
law.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
does ordain as follows:
1. That the annexation of inhabited territory contiguous to the
City of Arroyo Grande designated as "FAIR OAKS-ARROYO GRANDE ANNEX-
ATION" be and the same hereby is approved upon the terms contained in
the aforesaid question which was submitted at the aforesaid special
election held on the 22nd day of May, 1962. Said territory is described
as follows:

2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordin-
ance and within fifteen (15) days after its adoption shall cause it
to be published once, together with the names of the Councilmen voting
thereon, in the Arroyo Grande Herald-Recorder, and it shall also within
said period of time, be posted in three (3) public places within the
Ci~y of Arroyo Grande, to-wit: .
1 . City Hall, 214 East Branch Street, Arroyo Grande, Calif;
2. Fire House, 215 East, Branch Street, Arroyo Grande, Calif.,
3. Post Office, 132 East Branch Street, Arroyo Grande, Calif.
