ORDINANCE NUMBER 108 .
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER TWENTY-
ONE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING, FIXING
AND IMPO/;;ING MUNICIPAL LICENSES" PASSED AND
ADOPTED MAY 5, 1915.
The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. That said Ordinance of the City of Arroyo Grande
numbered 21 and entitled "An Ordinance Establishing, Fixing and
Imposing Municipal Licenses" passed and adopted. on ~ay 5, 1915, is
here~amended by adding three sections thereto to be numbered
Sections 25a, 25b and 25c, as follows, to wit:
"Section 25a. Every person, firm or corporation conducting
or holding public dances shall pay a license of $12.50 per
quarter. "
"Section 25b. Every person. soliciting cleaning and/or
pressing and/or dyeing work and not having a fixed place of
business within the City of Arroyo Grande shall pay a license
of $6.00 per Quarter. It
"Section 25c. 'Fixed place of business' is defined for
the purpose of Section 25c of this Ordinance as a business house
separate and distinct from any other business or residence
regularly kept open by the owner of such business or his agents
or employees between the hours of nine o'clock A.M., and five
o'clock P.M. for at least five days each and every week."
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION .3. This ordinance shall take effect aDd be in full
force and effect thirty days after its final ~assage, and before the
expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published,

with the names of the members voting for and against the same at
~least once in the Arroyo Grand$Berald Recorder, a newspaper of
general circulation, published and circulated in the said City of
Arroyo Grande.
