RESOLUTION NO. 3210
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION TO
CLOSE CITY STREETS AND USE CITY PROPERTY FOR
FOURTH OF JUL Y PEDDLERS' FAIRE
WHEREAS, organizers of the Fourth of July Peddlers' Faire have requested
closure of a portion of Short Street and Olohan Alley and use of City property for the
Fourth of July Peddlers' Faire, .July 4-6, 1997; and
WHEREAS, members of the Village Improvement Association will be responsible
for the organization and management of the event, including reimbursement to the
City for the costs of City personnel needed for the event, and for cleanup at the
event.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. Short Street, from Branch Street to Olohan Alley, and the Olohan Alley/City Hall
parking lot shall be closed from 6:00 P.M., Thursday, July 3rd until Sunday, July
6th at 6:00 P.M. for the purposes of food and vendor booths; and
2. That the Arroyo Grande Village Improvement Association will adhere to certain
requirements and conditions set forth by the Public Works, Police, and Building
and Fire Department regarding security and traffic control and other applicable
conditions of a Temporary Use Permit to be issued by the City.
On motion by Council Member Lady , seconded by Council Member fUels, and
by the following roll call vote, to wit:
A YES: Council Members Lady, Runels, Tolley, Fuller, and Mayor Dougall
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
