RESOLUTION NO. 3209
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE AUTHORIZING CLOSURE OF CITY
STREETS AND USE OF CITY PROPERTY FOR THE
ANNUAL ARROYO GRANDE V ALLEY HARVEST FESTIVAL
SEPTEMBER 26-27, 1997
WHEREAS, organizers of the Annual Arroyo Grande Valley Harvest Festival ,
have requested closure of a portion of Short Street and the Olohan Alley/City Hall
parking lot, and use of the Village Green and Swinging bridge area for the Annual
Arroyo Grande Valley Harvest Festival on Friday and Saturday September 26-27,
1997; and
WHEREAS, organizers of the Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival will be responsible
for the removal of all garbage and debris and for the costs of all City services provided
for the event.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. Short Street, from Branch Street to Olohan Alley, and the Olohan Alley/City Hall
parking lot shall be closed from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September
2'6, 1997 and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 1997
for the purposes of food and vendor booths, entertainment and other displays
associated with the Arroyo Grande Valley Harvest Festival; and
2. That the Arroyo Grande Valley Harvest Festival organizers will adhere to certain
requirements and conditions set forth by the Public Works, Police and Building
and Fire Department regarding security and traffic control and other applicable
conditions of a Temporary Use Permit to be issued by the city.
On motion by Council Member Lady , seconded by Council Member Runels,
and by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members lady, Runels, Tolley, Fuller, and Mayor Dougall
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
