A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE ESTAlU'HING THE CfI"Y'S
CONTRIBUTION TOWARD HEALTH cMUi COVEAfllE
FOR MEMBERS OF THE ARROYO GlANDI POLICE
OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION (.'AGPOA")
WHEREAS, . Government Code Section 22825.6 prpvides that a local agency
contracting under the Public Employees' Medical and Mospital care Act shell fix the
amount of the employer's contribution at an amount not.fess than the amount required
under Section 22825 of the Act; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 22857 provides that a oontracting agency may
fix the amount of the employer's contribution for erd'pIO~ &Ad the empfoyer's
contribution for annuitants at different amounts provided. that. the monthly contribution
for annuitants shall be annuaHy increased by an amOUnt not leu than 5 percent of the
monthly contribution for employees, until such time as the amounts ere equal; and
WHEREAS, The City of Arroyo Grande, hereinafter referred to as PubliC Agency is a
local agency contracting under the Act for participation by members of the Arroyo
Grande Police Officers' Association (AGPOA).
NOW, THEREFORE 8E IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY C~IL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That the employer's contribution for each employee shaH be .the amount nec..my to
. pay the full oost of his/her enrollment, including the.en~t of hMter femily
members in a health benefits plan up to a maximum of $303.22' _ Mepect to
employee enrofled for self alone, $606.45 for an ern~ enmll8dfor.., and one
family member, and $788.39 for an emplqyee enrolled for self and two or more family
members, plus administrative fees and Contingency Reserve Fund asseesments.
On motion of Council Member Costello, seconded by Council Member RUnef8, and on
the following rofl call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Costello, Runels, Dickens and Mayor Ferrara
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Lubin
