A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE EST ASL.ISHltlG THE . CITY'S
CONTRIBUTION TOWARD HEAlTH.CARE COVERAGE
FOR MEMBERS OF THE ARROV.o GJlANDIE CAfthIt
FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION ("AGCFA")
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 22825.6 provides that a local agency
contracting under the Public Employees' Medical and',Hospital Care Act shall tbc the
amount of the employer's contribution at an amount not less than the amount required
under Section 22825 of the Act; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 22857 provides that a centrading agency may
fix the amount of the employer's contribution for ",,~s al)d .theetbployer's
contribution for annuitants at different amounts provideid that. fie monthly CCMtribution
for annuitants shall be annually increased by an atROunt not Ie8$ thin 5 .......t of the
monthly contribution for employees, until, such time as.tfie amounts En equal; and
WHEREAS, The City of Arroyo Grande, herein,fter ret,rred to as Public ~cy . is a
local agency contracting under the Act for participati6n by rnen'Ibers of the Arroyo
Grande Career Firefighters Association (AGCFA).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Cln' qQUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AI FOLLOWS:
That the employer's contribution for each employee shall be the amount ....sary to
pay the ~II cost of his/her enrollment, including the enJOl!tnent of hi8Iher family
members in a health benefrts plan up to a maXimum of set3.22 witt I'8tP8d to
employee enrolled for self alone, $606.45 for an etnpJoyee etJR)II_ for self .nd one
family member, and $788.39 for an employee enrolled ftr .-.net Mo or more famUy
members, plus administrative fees and Contingency ReHr'Ve Fund 8888&Imenta.
On motion of Council Member Costello, seconded by Council Member RuneJ8, and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Costello, Runels, Dickens and Mayor Ferrara
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Lubin
