RESOLUTION NO. 3192
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ESTABLISHING APPOINTMENT PROCEDURES
1 FOR VARIOUS CITY ADVISORY BODIES
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a fair and equitable procedure for appointing
) members to certain City advisory bodies;
NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande as
follows:
1. The procedure for appointing members to the Downtown Parking Advisory Board,
Parks and Recreation Commission, Senior Advisory Commission, Teen Advisory Committee and
Traffic Commission (hereinafter sometimes referred to collectively as "Commission/Board/
Committee") shall be as follows: The Mayor and each Council Member shall appoint one
representative to each respective Commission/Board/Committee, subject to approval by a majority
of the Council. The Mayor shall appoint the teenage representative to the Teen Advisory
Committee.
2. Members of each respective Commission/Board/Committee shall serve for a term
ending the January 31st following the expiration of the term of the respective appointing Mayor
or Council Member, as applicable. Members of each respective Commission/Board/Committee
may be removed prior to expiration of their term by a majority vote of the Council.
3. Terms for all current members of each respective Commission/Board/Commit~ee
described above shall end on March 31, 1997.
4. This Resolution shall be effective when Ordinance No..481C.S-becomes effective.
On motion of Council Member Lady , seconded by Council
Member Runels , and on the following roll call vote,. to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lady, Runels, Tolley, Fuller, and Mayor Doug.
