RESOLUTION NO. 3780
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ESTABLISHING A "NO PARKING
EXCEPT BY PERMIT" ZONE ON ORCHARD STREET,
WEST CHERRY AND ARROYO AVENUES, CALIFORNIA
STREET AND PILGRIM WAY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande is duly authorized to establish
restricted parking zones pursuant to California Vehicle Code Section 21113(a) and Arroyo
Grande Municipal Code Section 10.16.050, and;
WHEREAS, it appears necessary and desirable to establish a "No Parking Except by City
Permit" zone on: Orchard, West Cherry and Arroyo Avenues, California Street and Pilgrim
Way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
that:
1. A "No Parking Except by City Permit" zone between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 3:00
p.m. on weekdays be established on Orchard Avenue from Fair Oaks Avenue to the
southern property lines of 425 and 428 Orchard Avenue.
2. A "No Parking Except by City Permit" zone between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 3:00
p.m. on weekdays be established along the curb line of Orchard Avenue and West Cherry
Avenue, which directly borders the Arroyo Grande High School/Lucia Mar Unified School
District property, and along the curb line of Orchard Avenue and Pilgrim Way which directly
borders the Assembly of God Church.
3. A "No Parking Except by City Permit" zone between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:00
p.m. on weekdays be established on the remainder of Orchard Avenue, West Cherry
Avenue, and Pilgrim Way not affected by No.2, above.
4. A "No Parking Except by City Permit" zone between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:00
p.m. on weekdays be established on California Street and Arroyo Avenue.
5. Said "No Parking Except by City Permit" zones will only be in effect during the
normal academic school year for the Arroyo Grande High School, except holidays.
6. Pursuant to City Council Resolution No. 3456, the Chief of Police of the City of
Arroyo Grande is authorized and empowered to establish policies and procedures for the
implementation and enforcement of the provisions of this Resolution, including providing
for the installation of sufficient signs and/or markings to indicate said "No Parking Except
by City Permit" zone.
7. Resolution No. 2381 is hereby repealed.
