MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9, 1997
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 215 EAST BRANCH STREET

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Mayor Dougall called the meeting to order at 6:00 P,M, Mayor Pro Tem Lady,
Council Member Tolley, City Manager Hunt and City Attorney Carmel were present,
1. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None,
2. CLOSED SESSION:
Mayor Dougall announced that the Council was going to meet in closed session to
discuss the following matters:
(a) CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR pursuant to Government Code
Section 54957.6:
Agency Negotiator: Rick TerBorch, Chief of Police
Represented Unit: Service Employees' International Union (S,E,I.U,),
Local 620,
(b) PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT pursuant to Government Code Section 54957:
- Public Works Director
(c) CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - Existing Litigation: pursuant to
Government Code Section 54956,9(a) involving three (3) cases,
Name of Cases: Unspecified: Disclosure would jeopardize existing
settlement negotiations.
(d) CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - Anticipated Litigation: significant
exposure to litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b)
involving one (1) potential case,
(e) PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT PERFORMANCE EV ALUA TION pursuant to government
Code Section 54957:
