RESOLUTION NO. 3456
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE
TO ESTABLISH POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR THE
IMPLEMENTATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF LIMITED OR
RESTRICTED PARKING lONES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has previously established and
will continue to establish limited or restricted parking zones pursuant to California Vehicle
Code 921113(a) and Arroyo Grande Municipal Code Section 4-3.05; and
WHEREAS, upon the creation of limited or restricted parking zones, there is a need to
establish policies and procedures for implementation and enforcement of parking within
such zones.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
that the Chief of Police 'of the City of Arroyo Grande is hereby authorized and empowered
to establish and adopt policies and procedures for the implementation and enforcement
of limited or restricted parking zones; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council that all policies and procedures
previously established by the Chief of Police of the City of Arroyo Grande for the
implementation and enforcement of such limited or restricted parking zones, including, but
not limited to General Order 1021, are hereby ratified as valid and enforceable.
On motion of Council Member Runels, seconded by Council Member Dickens, and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Runels, Dickens, Tolley, and Mayor Pro Tem Ferrara
NOES: None
ABSENT: Mayor Lady
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted on this 13th day of June, 2000.
