RESOLUTION NO. 3860
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ESTABLISHING STOP SIGNS ON
JAMES WAY AT RODEO DRIVE
WHEREAS, residents in the Rancho Grande, Phase IV housing development requested
a crosswalk across James Way to access Rancho Grande Park; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission held a pUblic hearing on the request for a
crosswalk on James Way; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department performed stop sign analyses for
intersections on James Way within the vicinity of Rancho Grande Park in accordance
with the requirements of the California Vehicle Code Section 21355 and as outlined in
the Caltrans' Traffic Manual Section 4-03.6; and
WHEREAS, on April 28, 2005 the Traffic Commission recommended that the City
Council establish stop signs on James Way at its intersection with Rodeo Drive and
approve the removal of existing stop signs on James Way at its intersection with Hidden
Oaks Road.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande, hereby establishes stop signs on James Way at its intersection with Rodeo
Drive.
This Resolution shall takeetfect upon its adoption.
On motion of Council Member Dickens, seconded by Council Member Arnold, and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Dickens, Arnold, Guthrie, and Mayor Pro Tern Costello
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 28th day of June, 2005.
