with the Chamber of Commerce the business promotJon. He also discussed having Council
Member de Leon coordinate the industrial committee of the Chamber of Commerce, with
the City. Discussion continued.

The City Council met in a special meeting with Mayor Millis presiding,
session and tour of Tally Ho Road. Council Members in attendance were Matt
Jr., Gabe de Leon, Hugh Pope, Jr., and B'Ann Smith.

STUDY SESSION AND TOUR OF TALLY HO ROAD WIDTH
Mayor Millis called the meeting to order,' advising the citizens and the Council
that this was a study session strictly for the road.width and not a discussion of drai~-
age or the drainage ditch. City Engineer Paul Karp reviewed for the Council and citi-I!
zens the staff's recommendations on Tally Ho Road, which included a minimum 40-foot im~
provement roadway, which would. provide two 12~foot driving lanes, with an eight-foot park-
ing lane on each side. After review, there was general discussion by several resident~
in the Tally Ho Road area. After further discussion, the Mayor indicated that the meet-
ing would be adjoured to the. Tally Ho Road area so that the Council and staff could
discuss each property with the individual property owner. It .was 'requested that the :1
property owners meet the Council and staff at the front of their homes as the group pro-
ceeded up and down Tally Ho Road. The.Counci I then adjourned to Tally Ho Road.. .'
The Council reconvened at Tally Ho Road with all members present, as noted in the.1
roll call. Council and staff.met with 18. to 20 property.owners along Tally Ho Road. .:1

After the tour, the Council returned to City Hall, at which time the meeting was
