MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
MONDAY, AUGUST 8, 1994
CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 215 EAST BRANCH STREET
ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA
The City Council of the city of Arroyo Grande met at 5:30
P.M., with Mayor Matthew Peter Gallagher, III, presiding.
1. FLAG SALUTE
Mayor Gallagher. led the Pledge of Allegiance to our Flag.
2. ROLL CALL
Present with Mayor Gallagher were Council Members Drew
Brandy, Bernard Burke, Michael Lady and James Souza. Staff
Members present were city Manager Chris Christiansen, City
Attorney Roger Lyon and city Clerk Nancy Davis. -'
3 . ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None.
4. CLOSED SESSION
On the unanimously approved motion of Souza/Lady, the
Council adjourned at 5:35 P.M. to a Closed Session on the
following:
(a) Pending Litigation: Government Code section 54956.9(a)
Mack vs. city of Arroyo Grande
The Council reconvened at 6:00 P.M. Mayor Gallagher said
the Council had reached an agreement on the Mack vs. City of
Arroyo Grande lawsuit for a settlement in the amount of $52,500.
He said an agreement will be executed by both parties releasing
the other from any further claims. He said the lawsuit will be
dismissed.
5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None.
6. ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Burke/Brandy, passed
unanimously to adjourn the meeting
