A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ADOPTING FISCAL YEAR 2011 -12 OF
THE FISCAL YEAR 2011 -12 & 2012 -13 BIENNIAL
BUDGET, AS AMENDED, AND MAKING
APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE AMOUNT BUDGETED
WHEREAS, on June 28, 2011 the City Council considered the proposed Biennial
Budget for the City of Arroyo Grande for the Fiscal Years commencing July 1, 2011 and
ending June 30, 2012 and commencing July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2013, which
is on file in the office of the Director of Administrative Services; and
WHEREAS, on June 28, 2011, the City Council adopted a Budget of $22,906.693 for
Fiscal Year 2011 -12; and
WHEREAS, due to an inadvertent calculation error, it is necessary to modify the
Citywide appropriation total; and
WHEREAS, the City Council also serves as the Redevelopment Agency Board of
Directors; and
WHEREAS, by adopting this modified budget, the Agency finds that the planning and
administrative expenses charged to the Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund are
necessary for the production, improvement, or preservation of low- and moderate -
income housing. H &S Code 33334.3(d); and
WHEREAS, proceedings for adoption of said Budget have been duly taken; and
WHEREAS, the total amended budget for FY 2011 -12 is $22,935,373.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The total amended Budget of $22,935,373 for FY 2011 -12 is hereby
adopted for the Fiscal Year commencing July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012.
SECTION 2. At the close of each Fiscal Year, unexpended appropriations in the
Operating Budget will be carried forward to the next fiscal year as necessary to
underwrite the expense of outstanding purchase commitments. Unexpended
appropriations for authorized, but uncompleted projects as approved by the City Council
may be carried forward to the next succeeding Budget upon recommendation by the
Administrative Services Director and approval of the City Manager.
