RESOLUTION NO. 3173
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
ELECTING TO PROVIDE WORKERS' COMPENSATION
COVERAGE FOR AUTHORIZED VOLUNTEERS
PURSUANT TO LABOR CODE SECTION 3363.5 (~.
I
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does hereby elect to extend l
workers' compensation coverage pursuant to L.C. Section 3363.5 to all authorized
persons performing voluntary service to the City without pay, while performing such
services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that all persons performing voluntary service to
the City without pay are deemed employees of this City, and are entitled to workers'
compensation coverage as provided by law.
On motion of Council Member Souza , seconded by Council Member Fuller ,
and on the following role call vote, to wit:
A YES: Council Members Souza, Fuller, and .Mayor Dougall
NO E S: Council Member Lady
ABSENT: Council Member Brandy
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 10th day of September ,
1996.
